TOF1541 CATTLEYA warscewiczii x self. (C. gigas) Colombia. This great species dwarfs all the rest of the Cattleya genus with the sheer size and splendor of its magnificent flower spike. It is a giant among orchids. (A.A. Chadwick, 1999) Beautiful light lavender flowers with full dark lip can reach very large size. Can produce up to 10 flowers per spike. "These orchids are always found on the higher branches where the sunlight is barely broken by the leaves of the tree, or on rocks that are surrounded by thin vegetation and exposed to bright light." Very limited. (Carlos Arango L.) | ||||
