TOF4049 Plectrelminthus caudatus. West Africa.. Up to 20 large flowers are fragrant and long lasting. Pale green often flushed with bronze. Ivory white lip with green tip. Thick worm-like spur. Easily cultivated under warm conditions. "When this spectacular species first flowered in England, in 1835, it was described as remarkable and extremely rare. The first plants were imported by Messrs. Conrad Loddiges of Hackney, and were described by Lindley as the 'Long-tailed Angraecum'. He pointed out the unusual length of the spur..."
