TOF1013 LAELIA pumila '4n' x self. Dwarf species. One or two beautiful rosy purple flowers per raceme, very large for size of plant. Outside of lip is lighter in color, setting off the inside deep rich purple. Selfing of a tetraploid plant. Low elevation. "Small trees bordering the swamps and covered with moss provide a perfect habitat for these laelias, their roots running along the mossy bark not far above the water." (Withner, 1990) | ||||
