Encyclia cochleata 'Superba' x self.
Mexico to Northern South America.

Large plants in our collection are stunning and in flower most of the year. Really showy flowers are unlike any other. Long twisted greenish sepals and petals hang from upside-down 4" flowers, which remind me of sea-creatures like squid. Showy lip is deep purple (almost black) with white areas.
